On a sad note like death

For those who didn’t know I (Sherona) own 5 beautiful chickens, two of which older then the other 3 who were under a year.

Well, last night a fox came through my garden, now the chickens weren’t put away yet because it was still fairly light outside and two of our younger ones wouldn’t go into the hatch yet.

This is how with think it went:

The fox first grab Harris (My chicken) ran off with her then came back took down Shit face (My dad named her, nick name Facey) inside the hatch, while Olly (One of the younger ones - a black Sussex) ran behind some cardboard then realizing she wasn’t safe ran across towards the allotments and was there ripped to sheds, after Olly came Greogie (Another young - white and black Sussex) she was killed by the cardboard then dragged into a whole„ the last to be killed was Niki (Another young - white Sussex, owned by my boyfriend Zac Manning @RantsQuotesAndTruth) she was in the other garden (Yes I have two gardens, as well as two houses), at this point my dad heard screaming, he ran to the window saw the fox running at Niki and rushed down the stairs called my dog Jess the get outside quickly, they both were too late and found the fox running back home leaving a dead but not eaten Niki behind.

I only found out this morning… I took the news the hardest.

To me the chickens were as much a pet to me then Jess, Peyton, Edward, JJ, Louie, sunny or the Pigeons were and I just can’t stop myself from crying.

You may call me a fool, sad or even weird but they meant something to me.

Today I walked outside and found the whole of my garden covered in feathers, blood laid on the ground and bones drug into dirt. The bodies were already gone, clear by my mother who hasn’t stopped crying too. They hadn’t clear everything because I found guts mixed into a clump of feathers.

I went to each different place they were found and picked up a few of the feathers there, then I got sheets of paper, I knew which feathers were what chickens so I put them inside their own paper and write their names on top before locking them away.

They will be missed.

In melano bettas, a mutant gene has caused the black pigment to be greatly increased in density and coverage area. The mutated gene that causes increased black color in Bettas is recessive to the normal black gene. This means that if a melano betta were spawned to a normal betta that does not have the mutated black gene all the offspring would be multis. These offspring would be carrying the gene for melanism, but it would not show in their coloration. Melano females are infertile, and therefore the color has to be perpetuated using melano ‘carrier’ females of other colors.

Here’s my dog Jessie.

Zac (My boyfriend) and I like to call her Jessie-dog because I also have a small cat called Jessie.

Reason behind having two animals with the same name:

So I’ve had Jessie-cat for 11 years, then at age 9 my mum got a new boyfriend called Phil, he owned Jessie-dog and still does, my mum and him now live together; so both animals were already named by the time I had both.. so yeah

(The weirder thing is that both animals are the same age :P)

She’s my little shadow, my family says when I’m not there Jessie-dog just sits in the corner crying :( And when she hears me she starts cry if she can’t get to me.

Meet Peyton Manning!

This is my leopard gecko Peyton, last name Manning; why Manning you ask? Because my boyfriend is Zac Manning and there is an american football player named Peyton Manning, so its kinda a joke :3

Age: 2 1/2

Breed: Pastel ghost

Girlfriend: Lecca Hanif

Breed of girlfriend: Mack Snow

My friend Jaike Hanif has a mack snow leopard gecko called Lecca and her and peyton have had three dates, one where Peyton stayed over the night with her :)

They get along pretty well and seem to really like each other, though from what I know they haven’t tried to mate yet.

Jaike and I are hoping Lecca and Peyton will soon mate, their babies would be awesome :D And I’ll be keeping one, though I can only have a female one seeing as two male geckos can’t share vivariums.

Me! I know I’m not much of a looker, but eh, this photo makes my skin look good :P
